The NFL Student All-Star Program and NFL Junior Community Quarterback Award are NFL initiatives that awards small level grants to help finance student-initiated proposals on how to better the community. The goal of the program is to promote community investment and volunteerism in children.

Every day, students overcome tremendous obstacles to stay in school and continue their education, and every day South Florida nonprofit organizations provide support to help their cause. That's why Sun Life Financial and the Miami Dolphins have teamed up to recognize their hard work and to help beat the odds. A local judging panel in South Florida will review all entries and select four winning applications.

The Miami Dolphins Special Teams is a unique volunteer organization created to enlist and mobilize the ongoing services of the community with the Miami Dolphins staff, players and alumni. The mission of the Special Teams is to offer hands-on services to communities and families in need, to partner with existing organizations on worthwhile social, civic and charitable programs, to provide assistance at Miami Dolphins Foundation events, and to support community efforts in times of emergency.

On and off the football field, the Miami Dolphins organization is about commitment, discipline and teamwork. Spurred by the dedicated ownership of Steve and Kara Ross and their partners, this attitude is out into action and has led to visible results in our neighboring communities.
