For the third season, the Miami Dolphins and their fans are joining in the popular NFL.com Home Team Challenge, which means we need you to represent us in a league-wide fantasy football competition. Home Team Challenge lets you represent your favorite NFL team in this case, the Dolphins in an ongoing Fantasy Football competition against fans of other teams around the league. You play the role of general manager and set a new lineup of eight players each week.

Each week, the Miami Dolphins Home Team Challenge, presented by Sprint, player who scores the highest will receive a prize pack (see below for official Weekly Prizes). The overall Miami Dolphins Home Team Challenge, presented by Sprint, leader throught the games of week 13 (November 27-December 1) will win the grand prize. In addition to the Miami Dolphins.com prizes, you will also compete with fans from other teams for NFL prizes. Also, everyone who signs up for the Home Team Challenge as a Dol-Fan will be representing the Dolphins against the other teams in a weekly competition. The cumulative scores of each team's representatives are pitted against each other. In other words, you play for yourself with fantastic prizes at stake but you also compete for the Dolphins! Lets show the rest of the league which team has the smartest football fans in the country.
Here's a summary of how the game works:
You have 300 Units to spend on a team of eight pro football players. We'll assign each player a value (in units) that reflects his value relative to other players, and you must then put together a team where the total value of your eight players does not exceed 300 Units. You will earn points based on the statistics your players generate each week. Players' values may change during the season, based on the player's performance, and new players (such as rookies) may be added to the player pool as their playing time increases. Rosters will not carry over week to week, so you will need to set a new one each week. Prizes will be awarded to the top weekly and overall (full season) scorers.
