Read all the notes and statistical milestones from the game against the Bills

Mike Pouncey, Jason Trusnik and Cameron Wake served as tonight’s game captains.

• With the loss, Miami is 56-40-1 in the series. Miami is now 9-6 on Thursday games.

Marcus Thigpen returned a kickoff 96 yards for a scored in the first quarter at Buffalo (11/15). The last time a Dolphins player returned a kickoff for a touchdown was Ted Ginn Jr. who had a 101-yard kickoff return for a score on November 1, 2009 at the New York Jets.

• With the 96-yard kickoff return at Buffalo (11/15), Marcus Thigpen became the only player in team history to return a punt and kickoff for a touchdown in a single season. Thigpen joins Ted Ginn Jr. and Freddie Solomon as the only players to return both a kickoff and a punt for a touchdown in a Dolphins career.

• Marcus Thigpen’s 96-yard kick return for a touchdown marks the third time that the Dolphins have returned a punt and kickoff for a touchdown in the same season, earlier this season Thigpen returned a punt 72 yards for a touchdown against the Houston Texans on September 9, 2012. The Dolphins also accomplished the feat in 1970 as Jake Scott returned a punt on November 22, 1970 against the Baltimore Colts and Mercury Morris returned a kickoff on December 6, 1970 against the Boston Patriots and during the 1990 season Scott Schwedes returned a punt for a touchdown on December 19, 1989 and Marc Logan returned a kickoff on October 1, 1989 against the Houston Oilers.

• Marcus Thigpen’s 96 yard touchdown return at Buffalo (11/15) is tied for the sixth longest kickoff return for a touchdown in team history.

• With a five-yard completion to Davone Bess in the second quarter, Ryan Tannehill moved past Bob Griese for the second most single-season passing yards by a rookie Dolphins quarterback in team history.

• Davone Bess recorded his first touchdown of the season and 12th of his career at Buffalo (11/15) on a two-yard reception from Ryan Tannehill.

Rishard Matthews caught his first career pass at Buffalo, a 19-yarder in the fourth quarter.

Reshad Jones had a career-high 14 tackles and forced one fumble at Buffalo (11/15). His previous high was 12 tackles vs. New England (9/12).

Jimmy Wilson started his first game of the season and second of the season at Buffalo (11/15) when Miami’s defense opened up in the nickel package.

Koa Misi recorded his 2.5 sack of the season on Ryan Fitzpatrick at Buffalo (11/15). Misi now has 8.0 sacks in his career.

Randy Starks recorded his 4.5 sack of the season on Ryan Fitzpatrick at Buffalo (11/15). Starks now has 32.5 sacks in his career and 22.0 sacks as a member of the Dolphins.

• With one sack on Ryan Fitzpatrick at Buffalo (11/15). Cameron Wake now has 37.5 sacks in his career, the most ever by a Dolphins player in their first four seasons with the team. This was Wake’s 9.5 sack on the season, surpassing his 2011 tally of 8.5.
