Dolphins Host Exclusive Practice For Fin Club Members

Fin Club Members get an up-close look as the Dolphins continue preparations for the 2013 season.

The Dolphins were back to football on Sunday, holding an exclusive practice for Fin Club members at the Doctors Hospital Training Facility.

The Fin Club is the team’s free loyalty rewards program – the first of its kind in the NFL – which allows members to earn points that they then can trade in for Dolphins prizes, memorabilia, and even behind-the-scenes access.

During the OTA and mini-camp portion of the team’s offseason schedule, two Fin Club members, Michael Jenkins and Chase Malcolm, swapped Fin Club points to attend a practice, which, at the time, was closed to the public. Another Fin Club giveaway had Giovanni Estevez, a Dolphins Season Ticket Member, traveling to New York to announce one of the Dolphins’ fourth-round picks at the podium at the 2013 NFL Draft.

The special rewards continue year round, with one lucky Fin Club member having the chance to join the Dolphins’ equipment staff for Monday night’s scrimmage at Sun Life Stadium, a night that will give an unprecedented look at a Dolphins game day.

On Saturday, though, all eyes were on the practice field where the team continued its offseason schedule, preparing for Monday’s scrimmage and next week’s preseason opener against Dallas in Canton, Ohio.

Having a special day, with raffles and a post-practice autograph session, was well worth making the early trip to the facility, Fin Club member Giovanni Barrero said.

“It’s awesome. For us, it helps us relate to the actual players and you can come out and have a good time. It’s more of a one-on-one, so I think it’s a great time for us.”
