The Miami Dolphins made an appearance at Lauderhill Sports Park in Lauderhill for their weekly Dolphins Blitz, and nearly 400 children were impacted by the event. The Dolphins Blitz ran simultaneously as the Lauderhill Lions squared off against the Pompano Steelers in Best League Youth Football action.
The Blitz was a day full of interactive activities that saw friends, families and teammates all playing in a variety of fun events.

The Blitz allowed local children to experience hands-on football drills while participating in other extracurricular activities associated with the Miami Dolphins, such as the Dolphins Quarterback Toss, corn hole and two interactive football drills.
“Our Blitzes really give a chance for children to have fun while promoting youth football,” Dolphins Youth Programs Coordinator Troy Drayton said. “The children have a blast, and it’s an exciting event both for the Dolphins and the youth football park.”
The Blitz also featured appearances from four Miami Dolphins Alumni and two Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders. Former Dolphins Roy Foster, Derrick Rodgers, Troy Stradford and James Brown all took the time to hang out with fans, take pictures and signed autographs.
Kids of all ages had a good time watching football, meeting Dolphins alumni and cheerleaders, while getting exercise with the football drills.
The Dolphins will travel to a new youth football team’s home park each weekend in order to benefit the community and promote youth football.
The Miami Dolphins Youth Programs’ mission is to emphasize the importance of education, physical fitness and positive choices for kids in a safe and fun environment.
