Dolphins Players Visit Lee County Library

Posted Jul 12, 2012

Miami Dolphins Tight End Les Brown, Safety Chris Clemons and Cornerback Sean Smith visited South County Regional Library in Estero where they read books with the children in attendance.

The children picked questions from a jar that the players answered such as, “Do you have a superstitious hat?” and “Who are their role models?” The players even accepted a few “Challenges” from the jar. To the delight of the children and parents, Sean Smith accepted the challenge to hop on one foot in a circle and Les Brown pretended to be an alligator.

The Miami Dolphins Foundation has joined forces with local libraries and schools in encouraging South Florida's youth to read by developing the Most Valuable Reader Program. This year-round initiative provides incentives for children to read. Kids have the chance to read books in exchange for the opportunity to attend a Dolphins home game.
