Dolphins-Rams Postgame Notes

Get all the notes and milestones from Miami's 17-13 win over the Rams.


Kevin Burnett, Mike Pouncey and Austin Spitler served as today’s game captains.

• Today’s paid attendance was 52,983.

• Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas were inducted into the Dolphins Honor Roll during halftime of today’s contest. Taylor played thirteen seasons with Miami (1997-2007, 2009, 2011), earning six Pro Bowl nominations. He is the all-time Dolphins sack leader with 131 sacks. He was named the 2006 NFL Defensive Player of the Year and 2007 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award Winner. Thomas played twelve seasons (1996-2007), earning seven Pro Bowl nominations, the second most in team history. Thomas notched 11 seasons of 100 or more tackles and led Miami in tackles 10 of his 12 years with the team.

• With the win, Miami now leads the overall series 10-2.

Ryan Tannehill recorded the first multi touchdown game passing of his career vs. St. Louis.

• Ryan Tannehill had a 112.0 passer rating vs. St. Louis. It was the second consecutive game that he set a career high in this category.

• With a team-high six catches vs. St. Louis, Davone Bess now has 288 career receptions. Bess passed Randy McMichael for second place in team history for most receptions by a Miami Dolphin player in their first five seasons with the team. He needs 27 catches to match Chris Chambers for first place in this category.

• With 42 receiving yards vs. St. Louis Davone Bess has 3,057 receiving yards. Bess needs seven yards to tie Howard Twilley for 13th place in team history.

Marlon Moore recorded his first catch of the season in the first quarter vs. St. Louis.

• Marlon Moore’s 29-yard second quarter touchdown is the second of his career. His previous touchdown was a 57-yard reception at Oakland on November 28, 2010.

• Marlon Moore's three receptions today were a career high, surpassing his previous high of two receptions vs. the Chicago Bears on November 18, 2010.

• RB Marcus Thigpen recorded a career-ling 44 yard kickoff return vs. St. Louis.

Anthony Fasano recorded his second touchdown of the season on a one-yard pass from Ryan Tannehill in the third quarter vs. St. Louis. Fasano now has 21 touchdown receptions on his career, including 20 with Miami. The 20 receiving touchdowns are the third most in team history for a Dolphins tight end.

• Miami’s defense did not allow a rusher to go over 100 yards for the 20th consecutive game. This tied Miami’s longest streak since not allowing a 100-yard rusher in 20 straight games from 2002-03.

Cameron Wake’s first quarter sack marked the third consecutive game that he has recorded a sack. His 6.5 sacks over this span is the most prolific stretch of his career.

• With one sack vs. St. Louis, Cameron Wake now has 34.5 sacks in his career, the most ever by a Dolphins player in their first four seasons with the team.

Olivier Vernon recorded the first full sack of his career on Sam Bradford vs. St. Louis. He added another in the fourth quarter as well for his first multi-sack game of his career. The rookie from the University of Miami has 2.5 sacks on the season.
