The Miami Dolphins Youth Programs Department has a primary goal of impacting the South Florida youth in a positive manner, and that all starts with spreading the “Dol-Fit” message.
The Dolphins made a trip to Palm Springs to deliver that message to Clifford O. Taylor Elementary for a Gatorade Junior Training Camp (JTC), and nearly 500 students participated in the event, consisting of football drills, cheerleader routines and the life lessons of being Dol-Fit.
“The children were very excited. The important aspect was the physical, getting out there and playing and learning how to exercise from the Dolphins,” Clifford O. Taylor Elementary School Assistant Principal Vik Moosai said. “Overall, the event sent a positive message.”

Miami Dolphins Youth Programs Coordinator Troy Drayton began the camp by relaying the message of how important it is to get an education, stay physically fit and make positive choices in life.
Subsequently, the students were treated to six interactive football drills, which focused on the fundamentals of football, including throwing, catching and running.
“We had a blast today at Clifford O. Taylor Elementary, and it was definitely worth the trip out here,” Drayton said. “We impacted a lot of students today, and I am glad we can continue to send a positive message to the youth.”
Clifford O. Taylor Elementary is the largest elementary school in the state of Florida, serving approximately 1,260 children.
