Dolphins Support Hispanic Heritage Month

Miami Dolphins Foundation sponsored a READ AND RISE Event at Lloyd Estates Elementary in Oakland Park.


As a part of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Miami Dolphins Foundation sponsored a READ AND RISE Event at Lloyd Estates Elementary in Oakland Park on Tuesday morning. Every student at the school received a $5 voucher for the Scholastic Book Fair.

Former player Troy Drayton led the Play 60 Reading Rally for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders where he spoke about the importance of physical fitness and reading. Diane Philbin, wife of Coach Philbin, Cheerleaders, TD, and members of the Miami Dolphins Women’s Organization (MDWO) were also in attendance.

The top readers at the school were give All Community Team tickets courtesy of the Philbins. After the pep rally, four lucky classrooms were read a book from the Dolphins VIP’s.
