As part of the organization's ongoing community efforts, the entire Miami Dolphins team, led by Coach Joe Philbin, boarded buses at the Doctors Hospital Training Facility at Nova Southeastern University and headed to SpareZ Bowling alley in Davie where they were greeted by 180 excited elementary school students.

The students, decked in their Miami Dolphins T-shirts, came from four different elementary schools, two in Miami-Dade County (Earlington Heights and South Hialeah) and two in Broward County (Croissant Park and Gator Run Elementary). Each student was chosen for having great attendance, showing the most improvement and maintaining good grades.

Each player was assigned to a group of three students to form a team. The students enjoyed food and drinks, received autographs, took pictures, and were rewarded with prizes all while participating in a few games of bowling with their Dolphins teammate.

"It's really important to reward students for their good work at school," Dolphins Pro Bowl defensive and Cameron Wake said. "It’s amazing an organization like this can find the time to have events like this happen during the season. Coach Philbin actually planned it as part of our day so everybody can be here. Usually it’s just three or four guys, but literally the entire team is here. We’ve got the whole bowling alley to ourselves having a good time. It’s really great!"
