· DE Cameron Wake recorded his first sack of the preseason when he stopped Falcons QB Matt Ryan for a 10-yard loss in the second quarter. He added another half sack in the second quarter as well. Wake has had six multiple sack games in his career during regular season games.
 
· DE Olivier Vernon recorded his first career sack when he combined with LB Cameron Wake for a three yard loss in the second quarter. A third-round draft pick out of the University of Miami, Vernon recorded 81 tackles (51 solo) with nine sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss in his college career.
 
· Seeing their most extensive action of the preseason, rookie free agent linebackers Cameron Collins and Shelly Lyons led Miami with five tackles apiece.
 
·  K Dan Carpenter connected on a 52-yard attempt in the third quarter vs. Atlanta. It was the second consecutive game that Carpenter made a 52-yard field goal. The fifth-year veteran from Montana has eight field goals of 50 or more yards in the regular season.
