Wide receiver Davone Bess (back) and defensive tackle Randy Starks (non-football) did not practice or the Dolphins for the third day in a row and Bess is officially out for Sunday’s game. Cornerback Nolan Carroll (knee) and center/guard Josh Samuda (shoulder) were limited and are being listed as questionable along with Starks. Linebacker Koa Misi (ankle), cornerback Sean Smith (knee) safety Reshad Jones (hip) and safety Chris Clemons (ankle) also were limited but were upgraded to probable for the game.

For the Patriots, cornerback Maurquice Cole (finger) did not practice again and is doubtful. The other 20 players that were limited yesterday stayed the same for New England and are listed as questionable, most notably wide receivers Wes Welker (ankle) and Brandon Lloyd (knee), tight ends Rob Gronkowski (forearm/hip) and Aaron Hernandez (ankle), safety Patrick Chung (shoulder), rookie defensive end Chandler Jones (ankle), guard Logan Mankins (ankle/calf), offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer (back/knee), linebackers Brandon Spikes (ankle) and Jerod Mayo (elbow) and cornerback Aquib Talib (hip).
