Dolphins guard earns first trip to NFL's annual all-star game in Hawaii.

Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito was named to the AFC Pro Bowl roster today. The selection is the first for Incognito in his career as he replaces Baltimore Ravens guard Marshal Yanda. The annual contest matching the AFC and NFC will be played on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

“It’s an honor to be named to the Pro Bowl,” said Incognito. “I am looking forward to going to Hawaii and representing the Dolphins as well as the AFC. I would like to thank all those that made this possible especially my fellow offensive linemen and the entire offensive unit as well as the coaches.”

“I want to congratulate Richie on being named to the Pro Bowl,” stated Dolphins Head Coach Joe Philbin. “It is a well-deserved honor and is a reward for the hard work and commitment he showed in 2012.”

Incognito, an eighth-year pro from the University of Nebraska, started all 16 games in 2012 for the Dolphins.

Incognito becomes the third member of the 2012 Miami Dolphins selected to the Pro Bowl joining defensive end Cameron Wake and long snapper John Denney.
