“It’s very exciting for the Dolphins to come because it’s our home team,” Endeavour Principal Denise Lawrence said. “They (kids) were very excited of course as they always want to see football players, former football players and our cheerleaders because they see them as role models in our community. So, anytime we have an opportunity to coordinate an activity with the Miami Dolphins, it’s always exciting.”

Youth Programs Coordinator Troy Drayton led the football activities, while also taking time to stress the importance of education, physical fitness and making positive choices to the kids.

“It sets an excellent example. It gives the kids an opportunity to see the different things they can take part other than sitting at home in front of a TV,” Lawrence said. “We need to get our kids out more; they need to become more physically active to become healthy.”

The Miami Dolphins Youth Programs’ primary objective is to focus on the significance of school, physical activity and positive choices for children. The Dolphins Academy stays active in the community to help the next generation of leaders have a bright future.

Endeavour Primary Learning Center was founded in 2003 and serves approximately 400 students.
