Miami Dolphins Raise Additional Money For Hurricane Relief Efforts

Posted Nov 14, 2012

As a follow-up to the commitment the Miami Dolphins made last week to donate the net proceeds from the sale of individual game tickets starting last Thursday for the game against the Tennessee Titans to support Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, the team raised $45,000 from the sale of those tickets. That will be donated to the American Red Cross South Florida Region to assist that organization’s hurricane relief program.

This donation comes after the earlier announcement that Stephen Ross, the Miami Dolphins and Related Companies donated $500,000 to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York to support Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. With both donations, Ross, the Dolphins, and Related gave a combined $545,000 to Hurricane Sandy aid programs.
