NOTEBOOK: Davis, Thomas Ruled Out Against Giants

JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Cornerback Vontae Davis and rookie running back Daniel Thomas both have been downgraded to out for tomorrow’s game against the New York Giants with hamstring injuries.

Rookie wide receiver Clyde Gates (groin) also has been downgraded from probable to questionable.<br>>BR>Davis originally was listed as doubtful on Friday after missing the entire week of practice and Thomas had been listed as questionable. Nolan Carroll or rookie Jimmy Wilson will get the start in place of Davis, while Thomas’ absence means Reggie Bush will get more carries and Lex Hilliard and Steve Slaton will see their roles increased.
