POSTGAME NOTES: Dolphins At Jets

Get all the notes and statistical milestones from Miami's 23-3 win at the Jets.

· With today’s win, Miami cut into New York’s lead in the all-time regular season series. The Jets now lead by a 49-46-1 margin. Miami is 1-0 versus the Jets in postseason play. The Dolphins have won seven of the last 10 games in the series.

· Miami only allowed three points in their 23-3 victory at the New York Jets (12/1). The last time Miami allowed three points in a game was a 24-3 victory vs. Jacksonville (12/16/12). The last time Miami allowed only three points in a road game was in a 31-3 victory at Kansas City (11/6/11).

· Brandon Fields, Lamar Miller and Jimmy Wilson served as today’s game captains.

· Mike Gillislee recorded the first career of his professional career in a regular season game at the New York Jets (12/1).

· Miami’s 453 net yards at the New York Jets (12/1) was the highest mark of the 2013 season.

· Ryan Tannehill passed for 331 yards at the New York Jets (12/1), good for the second highest total in his career. It was the quarterback’s fifth career game and second consecutive contest with 300 or more yards passing.

· Ryan Tannehill recorded his eighth multi touchdown pass game in his career at the New York Jets (12/1). It was also Tannehill’s fifth multi touchdown pass game of the 2013 season.

· Mike Wallace recorded his third reception of the season at the New York Jets (12/1). It was Wallace’s 35th career receiving touchdown.

· Mike Wallace caught a touchdown in consecutive games for the first time in the 2013 season. Wallace last had a touchdown in consecutive games as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers at the New York Giants (11/4/12) and vs. Kansas City (11/12/12).

· Mike Wallace recorded seven receptions at the New York Jets (12/1). This was the 13th time that Wallace has caught seven or more passes in a regular season game.

· Brian Hartline reached the end zone for the third time in 2013 as he hauled in a 31-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Ryan Tannehil at the New York Jets (12/1) It was also the second longest touchdown reception of 2013 for Hartline and the fourth longest of the season for the Dolphins. The long touchdown pass of 2013 came vs. Carolina (11/24) when Mike Wallace hauled in a 55 yard scoring reception from Tannehill.

· With 127 yards receiving today vs. the New York Jets (12/1), Brian Hartline has five career games with 100 yards or more receiving. The 127 yards were also the second most receiving yards in a game for his career.

· Charles Clay recorded seven receptions for 80 yards at the New York Jets (12/1). The seven receptions were a career high and the 82 receiving yards was the fourth highest total in his career.

· Miami has registered at least one takeaway in each of their 12 games during the 2013 season.

· Miami allowed 177 yards of total offense at the New York Jets (12/1). This was the fewest yards that Miami has allowed this season.

· Olivier Vernon recorded 2.5 sacks vs. the New York Jets. He now has 10.0 sacks on the season. Vernon's 10.0 sacks are the most by a Dolphins player other than Cameron Wake since 2008 when Joey Porter had 17.5 sacks. Vernon has recorded a sack in three consecutive games.

· With 2.5 sacks at the New York Jets, Olivier Vernon recorded multiple sacks for the second consecutive game. Vernon had 2.0 sacks the previous week vs. Carolina (11/24).

· Dannell Ellerbe’s second quarter interception of Jets quarterback Geno Smith was the second of 2013 for the linebacker. The interception also marks a season and career high for Ellerbe.

· Dannell Ellerbe's two interceptions thus far in the 2013 season are the most by a Dolphins linebacker in a season since Akin Ayodele also had two interceptions in 2008.

· Miami has 16 interceptions in 2013. In 2012, Miami had 10 interceptions for the entire season. With Dannell Ellerbe’s interception the Dolphins have recorded an interception in eight straight games dating back to vs. Baltimore (10/6).

· Brent Grimes recorded his fourth interception of the season at the New York Jets (12/1).
