PREGAME NOTES: Egnew Active For First Time; Other Notes

Rookie tight end making NFL debut.

Miami Dolphins rookie tight end Michael Egnew will make his NFL debut today against the Buffalo Bills as he has been listed among the 46 active players for the first time this season.

The injury to Charles Clay last week that landed him on Injured Reserve last week opened the door for the third-round pick out of Missouri. Newly signed cornerback Dimitri Patterson also will be making his debut as a Dolphin, starting in place of the injured Nolan Carroll, wide receiver Marlon Moore gets his second start for the injured Davone Bess and linebacker Jason Trusnik gets his second start in place of he injured Koa Misi.

Joining, Bess, Carroll and Misi on the inactive list are quarterback Pat Devlin, offensive tackle Patrick Brown, tight end Kyle Miller and defensive tackle Kheeston Randall.

For the Bills, quarterback Tavaris Jackson, outside linebacker Chris White, guard Keith Williams, defensive tackle Jay Ross, offensive tackle Chris Scott, wide receiver Marcus Easley and defensive end Mark Anderson are inactive. Kyle Moore starts at defensive end in place of Anderson.


##Former Dolphins guards Ed Newman and Keith Sims will serve as honorary captains and accompany Miami’s team captains to midfield for the coin toss.

##CJ Fam is signing the final national anthem of the season and there will be a flyover by the Coast Guard Air Station out of Miami.

##At halftime, there will be a special Fan Appreciation show and a Holiday Spectacular.
