Pregame Notes: Dolphins - Bucs

Posted Nov 19, 2017

Rookie free agent Chase Allen will make his second NFL start Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Allen will start at linebacker alongside Kiko Alonso and Lawrence Timmons. He will replace Rey Maualuga, who was waived Saturday.

Scott in lineup: Wide receiver Rashawn Scott will make his first appearance of the season.

Scott, who was activated off the Physically Unable to Perform list Oct. 31, was inactive the past two games.

Scott will be active in place of Leonte Carroo, who will be inactive for the first time this season.

Anthony in action: Linebacker Stephone Anthony, acquired in a trade with the New Orleans Saints in September, will be active for the first time since the game against the Saints in London.

With Maualuga off the roster, the Dolphins now have five linebackers on the active roster: Alonso, Allen, Timmons, Mike Hull and Anthony.

All good to go: Every player on the Dolphins injury report leading up to the game will be active against Tampa Bay.

That includes safety Michael Thomas, wide receiver Kenny Stills, running back Senorise Perry and defensive end William Hayes, all of whom were listed as questionable Friday.

Williams starts: Damien Williams again will get the start at running back.

The official depth continues to list Williams or Kenyan Drake as the starter, even though both figure to get close to an equal share of playing time on offense.

Inactive info: Along with Carroo, the list of Dolphins inactives includes QB David Fales, CB Jordan Lucas, CB Torry McTyer, G Isaac Asiata, T Zach Sterup and running back De’Veon Smith. Smith was promoted from the practice squad Saturday.

Opponent info: The list of Tampa Bay inactives includes QB Jameis Winston, who will miss a second consecutive game because of a shoulder injury. Also inactive are CB Vernon Hargreaves, C Joe Hawley, OL Caleb Benenoch, TE Luke Stocker, DE William Gholston and DT Sealver Siliga.

This and that: Quarterback Jay Cutler will serve as a game captain along with season captains Mike Pouncey, Kenny Stills, Ndamukong Suh, Cameron Wake and Michael Thomas. … The Dolphins will be wearing white jerseys with aqua pants.
Game Pass: Miami Dolphins
