Gaffney to make Dolphins debut.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Veteran wide receiver Jabar Gaffney will be making his debut in aqua and orange today against the New York Jets.

Gaffney’s status resulted in wide receivers Anthony Armstrong and Rishard Matthews landing on the inactive list. Quarterback Pat Devlin, cornerback Richard Marshall, linebacker Josh Kaddu, offensive tackle Will Yeatman, and rookie tight end Michael Egnew joined those two and cornerback Nolan Carroll is starting in place of Marshall.

For the Jets, quarterback Greg McElroy, running back Bilal Powell, safety Eric Smith, linebacker Bart Scott, offensive tackle Damon Harrison, tight end Jeff Cumberland and defensive tackle Kendrick Ellis are inactive. They added tight end Hayden Smith to the roster and released wide receiver Jason Hill, with Demario Davis starting in place of Scott.

## While the officials in New Jersey have already declared a state of emergency in preparation for the incoming storm, there is a calm hovering about MetLife Stadium.

Gray skies and a slight breeze with occasional showers are in the game forecast for the most part, and with rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill preparing for his first Meadowlands experience. He will now be looking at a defense minus Scott and Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis.
