REPORTS: Dolphins Decline To Match Clay's Offer Sheet

Per Alain Poupart of Dolphins.com, the Miami Dolphins have declined to match tight end Charles Clay's offer sheet.



According to Alain Poupart of Dolphins.com, the Miami Dolphins will not match the offer sheet for Charles Clay.



Clay, 26, was Miami's sixth round pick, 174th overall in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Tulsa. In four seasons with the team, Clay compiled 161 catches for 1,809 yards and 14 touchdowns.

With the departure of Clay, the remaining tight ends on the Dolphins roster include: Pro Bowler Jordan Cameron, Dion Sims, Arthur Lynch, Gerell Robinson, Jake Stoneburner, and Ryan Taylor.

Cameron, a 2013 Pro Bowler, signed with the Dolphins on March 12th. His 17.7 average yards per reception in 2014 was the highest among all tight ends with at least 20 catches last season.

Sims, 24, took his game to a new level in 2014. Miami's fourth round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft recorded 24 catches for 284 yards and two touchdowns last year.
