Reggie Bush Named To USA Today's All-Joe Team

Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush was today named to USA Today's All-Joe Team.

In 2011, Bush led the Dolphins in rushing with 216 carries for 1086 yards and six touchdowns and has 43 catches for 296 yards and one touchdown. He ranked sixth in the AFC and 11th in the NFL in rushing. In 2010, Bush rushed for 150 yards with the New Orleans Saints, and his improvement of 936 yards this year (to his total of 1,086 rushing yards) is the largest in the NFL this season.

Bush rushed for 203 yards at Buffalo on December 18. His 203 yards rushing at Buffalo was the third 200-yard rushing game in Dolphin regular season history (and fourth overall, including playoffs) and was the third highest regular season single game rushing total in Dolphin regular season history (fourth overall, including playoffs).

The All-Joe team was created in 1992 by longtime USA TODAY NFL writer Larry Weisman as a tribute to Joe Phillips, a 14-year defensive lineman who did yeoman's work for the Kansas City Chiefs that season. His effort in the trenches didn't lead to much glory … unless you point to the 29 combined sacks of Derrick Thomas and Neil Smith, Kansas City's fifth-ranked defense or the team's wild-card run. USA TODAY has honored the unsung Joes of the NFL ever since. Only players who have never been named to the Pro Bowl during their careers are eligible.
