Starks selected to second career Pro Bowl.

Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Randy Starks has been added to the 2013 AFC Pro Bowl team as an injury replacement for New England Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork.

Starks joins guard Richie Incognito, long snapper John Denney and Cameron Wake in the 2013 Pro Bowl. The four Pro Bowl selections are the most for the Dolphins since 2011 when Denney, Jake Long, Starks and Cameron Wake were selected for the postseason All-Star game.

The nine-year pro from Maryland started all 16 games in 2012, finishing the season with 27 tackles, 4.5 sacks and one interception. Starks was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week after his week five performance where he had three tackles, two passes defensed, an interception, a quarterback hit and 0.5 sacks in the Dolphins 17-13 victory over the Bengals in Cincinnati.

“I look forward to joining Cameron, John and Richie in representing our team at the Pro Bowl,” Starks said. “I also want to send thanks to Coach (Kevin) Coyle, Coach (Kacy) Rodgers and the rest of our coaching staff and teammates for this great honor as well.”

The annual contest matching the AFC and NFC will be played on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.
