As part of their ongoing Tannehilll’s A.C.E.S. program, the Tannehills were rewarding the group with a day of mini-golf, lunch and some fun for finishing their FCAT testing.
Tannehill’s A.C.E.S. (Achieving Community Education Success) program consists of 25 sophomores from American Senior High School and focuses on rewarding the participating students who strive for good grades and take on an active role in their community. The Tannehills, who are active participants in their South Florida community themselves, spend time with the group by hosting a monthly event rewarding the students with fun and also taking them out into the community to give back.
The students, dressed in their Tannehill’s A.C.E.S. T-shirts, were welcomed as a DJ set the lively environment with upbeat music and the students started their mini-golfing. The Tannehills joined in on the fun by golfing and spending time with the entire group. Once mini-golf concluded, the group played games and ate lunch together provided by Duffy’s.
“It’s great to be able to work with these kids on a monthly basis, where we are keeping up with their grades, we are keeping up with their community work, and just to see these kids grow and mature through the program, and through their time in high school... its been a lot of fun so far,” Ryan said.
