On behalf of the Miami Dolphins Special Teams, we would like to THANK YOU for your efforts in making the National Day of Service such a success. Through your donations and/or volunteer service we were able to send 725 care packages with items for more than 3,000 soldiers. Troops have already begun receiving their care packages. I wanted to write to you and the Miami Dolphins organization for the great support and packages you will send to us here in Afghanistan. I’m a season ticket holder and lifelong fan of the dolphins and to be able to get support from my favorite team whether i get a package or not, is still a blessing. I wish that you, the volunteers, and the Miami Dolphins the best season from the Soldiers of the Joint Sustainment Command-Afghanistan and myself. The best to you and your families. This is 1SG Blair and I want to say thanks for your care packages! It is because of people like you that make our Country a great Country to live in and fight for. We are from Alabama and our Company is made up of soldiers from all over the State. Right now we are in North Afghanistan... very far from home. We will be here for some time and looking for the day we all get to come home. It was so cool to get some stuff from people who represent such a popular football team. I didn't have my camera when the guys riped off into your packages. All I seen was many smiles and almost a couple of fights........haha! JK! Anyway thanks again so much for taking time to get some stuff together for us and sending such wonderful things. Hope you have a wonderful day and God bless ya'll!

All of the members of Attack Company 1-28 Infantry and all of our attachments want to thank you for your kindness, support and generosity. This small taste of home goes a very long way in boosting the morale of our Soldiers. Knowing of individuals outside of our friends and family that take the time and effort to send a package shows us just how much support and respect our Nation still has for our military.
