The Miami Dolphins today signed linebacker J.D. Folsom from the practice squad and released linebacker William Kershaw.

Folsom was originally a seventh round draft choice of the Dolphins in the 2009 NFL Draft and was released prior to the start of the regular season on September 5 and was signed to the practice squad two days later.

In addition, linebacker Channing Crowder and defensive tackle Jason Ferguson both did not make the trip to Foxboro and have been downgraded to out of the Sunday's game at the Patriots.
