Head Coach Tony Sparano

(on the end of the first half of play) - "Most people were ... I believe they had field goal people out, offensive people huddled - which they were doing the whole half, in other words, running groups on and off the field - so we wanted to be in the right personnel, and we called a time out to bring in the right personnel. They ended up going forward and we didn't make the play."

(on if he saw the New Orleans Saints field goal unit on at the end of the first half) - "They had regular personnel huddled up on the sideline and field goal people out on the field."

(on if he thought the Saints could have made the unit switch with only five seconds left on the clock in the first half) - "I thought they were going to make the switch at the very last minute, so we just wanted to be in the best personnel we could be in if they kicked the field goal, we wanted to be in the best personnel if they went for it, we wanted to be in the best personnel."

(on if he thought the game got away from the Dolphins in the second half) - "I think we came out in the second half of the football game - I believe the score was, I don't really know what the score was ... I think we were up ten points, 14 points - threw a turnover there, he [Saints FS Darren Sharper] got his hands on it. This is what we talked about during the week. This guy doesn't miss many when he gets a chance; he got his chance, scored a touchdown off the turnover. I believe we had three turnovers today and all three of them lead to scores. I think they had four turnovers; we got 17 points off of them. So, to me, that was probably a point where the game went away a little bit. I thought offensively we had two series at the end of the third quarter that started with throws and we didn't make a play. Which lead to a second-and-ten and we ended up throwing six passes in a row, I think, in some of those situations. We just didn't get a first down. Didn't get anything generated at that point. Got to give credit to those guys [the Saints]. I felt they did a good job. They came out and pressured us a little bit more in the second half.

(on if the Saints took the running game away from the Dolphins) - "I think we got away from it at times. Again, that was six plays there that ended up - the down and distance just ended up dictating kind of what we were going to do a little bit. One of them was a check with me play. It could have been a run or a pass on second down. It ended up being a pass, so that ended up being three passes in a row. Some of that ... that's two series gone. At the end of that, they scored off of both of those. We didn't score, we didn't get first down, and they brought the ball down the field and scored. I think as the game got on we just couldn't get the ball there, we were just throwing the ball to get back in the game."

(on if the late score in the second quarter changed the dynamic of the game) - "They scored a touchdown. They drove the ball down, we turned the ball over I believe. I think we turned the ball over on the 50-yard line, they end up taking the ball down the field and getting the score, but we had the ball coming back out. I felt like we were moving the ball pretty well at that time, we could have had another opportunity there to put another one in the end zone. Obviously we didn't get anything going. We threw and interception and they took the ball back in for a touchdown."

(on if he feels that the second half of the game was self-destructive) - "Well, a little bit. Yeah. I mean, that's a good football team, obviously, out there, but yes, I think at times a little bit self-destructive. Either not making a play, a penalty at the wrong time, turning the football over, those kinds of things. So, yeah, I'd say a little bit self-destructive. That's all of us, the players, coaches. We've got to do a better job. I've got to do a better job of coaching."

(on his assessment of QB Chad Henne's play today) - "I've got lots of film. I can't assess that right now. I thought at times he played pretty well during the ball game. We know we've got to take care of the ball, we knew this team was plus nine turnover-wise, we've just got to, all around, take better care of the football."

(on what he told the team in the locker room after the loss) - "I told them they had to give that team credit. They finished the game and we didn't. That has been our ... that's been kind of our deal. We finish games. One of the things we really wanted to do in this game was get this team into the fourth quarter and kind of get them into a place where they hadn't been, and I thought that we did that; we just didn't finish the game. We had untimely penalties, we had dropped balls, we had interceptions, we had penalties - we just didn't do a good job of executing fourth quarter football. That's my fault. We didn't look like a very good football team in the fourth quarter."

(on how he thought QB Chad Henne handled the pressure) - "I thought Chad was fine. I really did. I've just got to watch the film. I've got to look at the film. I can give you a better answer to that some time tomorrow."

(on the play of RB Ricky Williams) - "Well, Ricky played really well. He ran the ball hard; I thought he made the most of his runs, the most of his carries. We're trying to get him on the eight- and nine-whole play a little bit outside. They did a pretty good job of defending that. We were able to get some things back to the weak side on their defense at times. I really thought the first half of the game we were one step ahead offensively and as the game went on, late third, early fourth quarter, we simply didn't make the most of the drives. The critical situations in the game that we evaluate - third down, turnovers, those types of things - today I guess we won the turnovers at the end, it was four to three, whatever, but, it's still too many turnovers against a team like this. And the late penalties and also the things that we feel like we have to do on third down conversions on the offensive side of the ball, we weren't able to do that. We weren't able to stay out there."

(on losing LCB Will Allen) - "Obviously, to lose Will in that situation. It's a close ball game; I thought Will was playing pretty well at the time, but, two young kids... There was nothing glaring there. I thought they made a good open field tackle. We'll have to take a look. There was one big play that happened out there and Will didn't see it, obviously."

(on how they were able to disrupt the play of New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees so effectively in the first half) - "One of the things was that we won some individual match ups. I know that [SLB] Jason Taylor won a couple of individual match ups out there, Joey [Porter, WLB] might have gotten to him once during the course of that deal, so there were some quarterback hits and some individual deals. More pressures really that way. And we were able, one time, had a pressure call, Nate [Jones, RCB] kind of got back there, there was a couple of those things. But for the most part it was winning those individual battles, which was something that we felt we had to do this week. It was something that Buffalo [Bills] did a good job of. While our guys did a good job early on in the ball game, we have to finish."

(on why he didn't wait for Saints QB Drew Brees to enter the field before calling time out at the end of the second quarter) - "I just didn't. That's it. I called the time out. So. Period."

(on what he might do regarding the play of WR Ted Ginn, Jr.) - "We'll just work our tails off and continue to get better. Teddy made a big play a week ago for us and he had some opportunities [today]. We'll look at the film, we'll coach the heck out of it, and we'll try to get better. That's what we do."

S Yeremiah Bell

(On losing the lead) - "When you give a team opportunities like we did, especially a team like that, then you're going to come out on the losing end. We gave them a couple of plays and it hurt us in the end."

(On what was the momentum swing in the game) - "From the first possession in the second half, they kind of grabbed momentum from there and it just seemed like they took off. They got themselves back in the game. They gained a little momentum and the game went their whole way in the second half."

(On the end of the first half situation with the Saints scoring the touchdown) - "It was a turning point; they got 7 seven points instead of 3. That hurts too. I don't really know what happened in that situation but it happened. It is something you have to deal with so we dealt with it and it ended up turning out pretty bad for us in the second half."

(On if the Saints did anything different in the second half with their passing game) - "They kept us off balance in the second half. They started to run the ball a little bit and get some yardage. Then they kind of backed us up on the pass so they had us in limbo for a second. So it was a good job by them. They were pretty much doing the same thing; they just started to get some run holes, they got us off balance and that is how the second half went."

(On the pressure they put on Drew Brees) - "We did such a good job in the first half of attacking and we wanted to attack in the second half but they did such a good job of mixing it up. They started to run the ball in the second half so we didn't want to blitz and give them some run lanes because they were running the ball. We just had to play it kind of back a little bit because they were getting yards on us. You have to give them credit, they did a good job."

WR Davone Bess

(On the first half compared to the second half) - "We just didn't finish. We didn't execute. We came out strong; we just have to learn how to finish."

(On being up 24-3 and if the Saints made adjustments at the half) - "No. Not really. They pretty much stayed in same sets. It was just a matter of them wanting it more. They came out and executed and didn't get down on themselves when their backs were against the wall."

(On if the game was given away) - "You can say a little bit of both. That's a good offense. When you have an explosive offense like that - you can put your heart and soul in wanting to finish - you can do whatever you want. We tip our hats to them - they wanted it more."

RB Ronnie Brown

(On today's game) - "We just didn't finish. They had good opportunities to make plays and they made them. That's how it just happens. If you make turnovers against a team like that which is so good at scoring off turnovers and penalties, you get yourself in a bad situation."

(On tonight's use of the Wildcat offense) - "We were in a situation where we were able to be effective on some plays. Obviously they had some success on a few of them. We just try to do different things to mix it up and keep them off guard a little bit."

(On being up 24-3 and losing the game) - "It was the second half. We came out, turned the ball over, and when you're playing against a team with such a high-powered offense, you can't give them a situation where they could score and positive field position. You have to stay on top of that."

CB Vontae Davis

(On his impressions of the game overall) - "That is a good football team. They have number 9 back there, Drew Brees. He is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, playing like one of the best quarterbacks in the league."

(On what happened after the Dolphins jumped out to a 24-3 lead) - "We knew with the Saints, with Drew Brees as I said, the score is 0-0. That is the guy that can take over a game. We just kept having to fight. We knew they were going to come out and try to come back to win the game."

(On what happened in the second half) - "We knew they were going to score their points. We just had to get them off the field, 3 and out, as much as we could."

(On what happened in the second half with the secondary) - "That is the game. They made their adjustments and did the best they could to get in the end zone. They just made their adjustments at halftime."

(On what the Saints did differently in the second half) - "Nothing different, they just controlled the ball well and picking their plays. They made some good plays."

(On the long gain by Jeremy Shockey) - "I just missed a tackle. He is a big dude; I hit him up high and slipped off."

(On catching Courtney Roby on the kick return) - "I just had to open up and go get him. He was out of the gates. I just tried to run as hard I could and pick a time to lay out and I did it at the right time."

DT Jason Ferguson

(On losing the game) - "It was demoralizing, no doubt about that because we are good at certain things. We are good at stopping the run. That is what we are, what we pride ourselves on; and not beating ourselves, that is our DNA. We try to stop the run, we run the ball well and try not to beat ourselves. That is what our coaches preach to us. We just go out there and not follow the whole game plan. We played halfway; we did good, but in the first half, you saw when they had the big play and got them back in the game. Came back, got a turnover and this team is an explosive team. We knew that. So we can't give a team that chance and this is our 2nd time getting a learning experience from that. I am sure it is in our heads, but we have to fix it. It is not a coaching detail; it's a player not willing to make plays."

(On the Saints touchdown at the end of the first half) - "It gave them momentum. There is no doubt about that and we knew that. When we go up last 2 minutes, we knew that we had to get them off the field. That is how they get hot, so that is what they did. They go out there and made a big play. Tip your hat to them, they made a big play."

(On the difference between the first and second half for the defense) - "We go out there, first half, and follow the game plan to a ‘T'. Then we get out there in the second half and forget that we still have to do the same thing. Got to make plays, got to make tackles, can't let anyone run free. When we had the pressure on Drew Brees, we didn't continue that in the second half. It is a lot of things, but it is all on us. It is nothing that, I hate to say it, but it is what it is. It is not a coaching mistake; it is something we lost focus on. That can't happen; not in this league, not against that team. They are too explosive, we knew that, but we got hit in the face and that is what it is."

WR Brian Hartline

(On the first half compared to the second half) - "It was like night and day. A lot of turnovers, scored points, too many three and outs. Offensively, we can't just stall. We'll watch film and see what happened."

(On whether the Saints made adjustments before the second half) - "No, nothing I was too concerned about personally. This is a weird feeling and this just comes down to watching the film and learning from the film."

QB Chad Henne

(On the game in general and having an early lead) - "I thought in the first half we definitely ran the ball really well, the defense got some turnovers for us and we got some good field position. We come out in the second half, and the first drive we have a deflected ball out there, and they get a pick-six, which doesn't start things off very well for our offense. But we still had our opportunities in the second half, we just didn't execute as an offense and that's what it boils down to."

(On if there was a time in the second half where he could feel the momentum shift) - "With the offense that they have, you always have to stay on your guard because they can score at any moment and they have some great players out there. [Drew] Brees had a heck of a game throwing the ball, so with their offense you always have to be on your guard, even when you're up three touchdowns."

(On the offensive struggles in the second half) - "We had good field position but they had some adjustments at halftime, they brought more pressure, and made me get rid of the ball a lot sooner than what we wanted. We handled it sometimes, we hit a slant with [Brian] Hartline there and we had some plays in there where we made some plays, but it just boiled down to that we didn't make enough plays."

(On the Saints playing more eight man fronts in the second half) - "Yeah, they were definitely bringing an eight man box. They did that in the first half, they had a high safety in the back so they didn't have that extra guy in there, so they're bringing all-out pressures for us and stopping our run game and getting that extra guy in the box for the run game."

(On how he felt about his opportunities to make plays with eight men in the box) - "They're challenging you, they have one extra guy you can't block, and that guy is up to me. We have to have good timing with the wideouts, have to run good routs, and I have to put the ball where it needs to be as a quarterback. There were some miscues there with me and the wide receivers."

(On the drive at the end of the game with the opportunity to take the lead) - "We drop a ball, I think it was second down, we drop a ball, get a penalty. I miss Lou[saka Polite] in the flat. It wasn't just one person, it was a team effort, including me, I didn't perform well in some situations. We really have to practice on that, and get going in practice and understand the two minute drill is very important."

(On the little things not going the Dolphins' way in this game) - "You have to give your hat off to them, they played a pretty stock game in the second half on their defensive side. They started getting pressure, they covered our receivers pretty well. That's where in tight situations like that, I need to put the ball where it needs to be, and we need to make plays at the wideout position and our receiver position. You have to give them credit, they stopped us instead of us overcoming it."

(On what happened on the interception in the fourth quarter on fourth down) - "It was fourth down, the play got in a little late, they were scrambling around with their linebackers and their safeties. I was worried more about the clock, and I came off my fake and obviously there was a guy right in my face and fourth down situation like that , I knew there was a guy out there, and I have to throw the ball in that situation and happened to be an interception. But next time I'll have to throw a hot rout on that and handle it that way."

(On what the team needs to do the rest of the schedule) - "We definitely need to buckle down. I think the Jets are going to look at them playing us two weeks ago, and obviously this game, and seeing that the pressure affected us and how they played us. So we'll have to get back, grinding into work and understanding that pressure is going to come, and how we're going to handle it. We just have to make some adjustments."

(On what he can take away from this game) - "First half went above and beyond planned, and we just have to keep fighting. We have to keep executing. We know that they're going to bring that eighth man in the box to stop our run game, and we've shown teams that we can run the ball, so we just have to get better in the passing game and complete some more balls."

(On the long completion to Hartline) - "They were staring to bring a lot of pressure for us, and we needed a route that got it off quick, and Brian ran a great route. We had a quick slant on there, and hit him, and he just made a great play. The safety came up and missed the tackle, and he just made a great play on it."

(On what was different in the second half in the passing game) - "Some of those were quicker routes in the first half, and we had some longer routes where I couldn't get the ball off as quick. We just have to adjust to them on the sideline and realize this is what they're going to give us. We need some other routes to attack them by, and I need to complete the ball."

(On if the second half was different due to the adjustments of the Saints at halftime) - "In their second half adjustments they brought a lot more pressure, really wanted to get that extra guy in the box for our run game and stop our run game and make me throw the ball, and make our wideouts beat man coverage. They did a great job of that, getting an extra guy on me that I couldn't handle, and that was a plus for them."

LB Jason Taylor

(On what happened in the second half) - "It is a tale of two halves really. We played pretty well in the first half except for the last drive and kind of gave some momentum away there, allowed them to get a touchdown. They should have only had a chance for a field goal there at the end. We come out in the second half, turnes the ball over, created penalties, gave up big plays, didn't tackle."

(On if the Dolphins self-destructed in the second half) - "Don't get me wrong, they are a good football team. You can't make mistakes against a good football team. We playing the way we can play and playing well and had it rolling there in the first half. It is not like we were surprised we were up on them. They came in 5-0, whatever their record is now, and it's a game we had the opportunity to win and we lost the game."

(On the pressure they applied to Drew Brees early) - "We did what we what we needed to do, talk about doing - pressuring him, trying to force turnover, trying to create negative plays. We did a good job of it in the first half; we just didn't do it in the second half. You have to finish games in this league. No matter what the score is, what the situation is, you have to come out of the locker room and continue to do what you were doing if you were doing it well in the first half or correct the things that you weren't doing well. We just didn't do that. It was simple as that."

(On what the Saints did different in the second half) - "Scored. They didn't score in the first half except for the one they ran it in at the end there. They did in the second half. I love Drew Brees; he is a great quarterback, real good good player. We got some good players on this team too. We got after them in the first half and just didn't do it in the second half. I don't want to slight Drew at all, but I am not going to crown him either. He is what he is and he is a great player, I'll give him that but we did so many things dumb in the second half."

RB Ricky Williams

(On if they did anything different to try and stop the run in the second half) - "I don't know what they were doing, we didn't run the ball a lot in the second half."

(On if it was disappointing that they didn't run the ball in the second half) - "It's disappointing that we lost."

(On the long run) - "I saw a crease and I hit it."

(On the Saints touchdown at the end of the half and if it gave them momentum) - "It's points and I think we have to learn when we have a team in that position not to let up and not to give them points."

(On if was a game where it was hard to get the momentum back once it turned) - "Yes, it was ours. We fought and fought and they just fought harder at the end. It's unfortunate because that has been our signature is that we fight all four quarters."

(On if there was still faith being down six with a few minutes left in the game) - "Definitely, I think that we have a lot of faith in Chad (Henne) and that was our game to win. Everything that happened we had a chance to go down get six, kick the extra point and be up and we didn't take advantage of it."
