Mitchell played 37 games with 21 starts in three seasons (2014-16) for the Dolphins after he was signed as an unrestricted free agent on March 12, 2014. He totaled 72 tackles (46 solo) and two sacks with the Dolphins. Mitchell played in nine games with five starts in 2016. He was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 13, 2016 and activated/designated for return on Nov. 10, 2016. Mitchell has played seven NFL seasons, including his first four with the Houston Texans (2010-13). He originally entered the NFL as a third-round pick (81st overall) by Houston in the 2010 NFL draft.
Williams played in 13 games with five starts in 2016 – his lone season with the Dolphins – after he was signed on March 9, 2016. During his 11-year NFL career, Williams has played in 158 games with 150 starts and totaled 399 tackles (317 solo), 97.5 sacks, 16 forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries. He was selected to four Pro Bowls (2008, 2009, 2013 and 2014) and was named first-team All-Pro in 2014 as a member of the Buffalo Bills. Williams originally entered the NFL as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft by the Houston Texans.
Ekpre-Olomu was claimed off waivers by the Dolphins from the Cleveland Browns on April 5, 2016 after he spent the entire 2015 season on injured reserve with the Browns. He also missed the 2016 season after the Dolphins placed him on injured reserve on Aug. 9, 2016. Ekpre-Olomu originally entered the NFL as a seventh-round selection (241st overall) by Cleveland in the 2015 NFL draft after he was a consensus first-team All-American at Oregon in 2014.
