The Dolphins Announced The Hiring Of A Former Target and Toys ‘R’ Us Executive to Oversee Human Resources and A 23-year Veteran of the Miami Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to Head Security.
Miami, FL – The Miami Dolphins have announced two additions to its executive leadership team today, Dan Caspersen will oversee the organization’s human resources department and Joe Cicini will oversee the organization’s security efforts. Both Caspersen and Cicini are respected industry leaders in their fields with a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success and results. Additionally, Brandon Shore, who started his career with the Dolphins in football operations and most recently served as the team’s Finance and Legal Affairs Specialist will now work in human resources as a dedicated resource for the team’s training facility.

Joe has an extensive law enforcement background with over two decades of experience that includes special event management, counter-terrorism, and crisis management.”
Caspersen joins the Dolphins after serving as the Executive Vice President, Human Resources for Toys ‘R’ Us from 2006 to 2013. At Toys ‘R’ Us, Caspersen directly managed a $100 million budget with a 175 person human resources team that served over 120,000 employees. Caspersen also served as a Vice President of Human Resources for Target Corporation from 2001 to 2006. During this time, he was responsible for instituting the company values including staffing, employee relations, training, development, compensation and benefits execution for over 290,000 hourly staff members in 1,500 stores as well as 11,000 corporate executives. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and a Masters in Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota.
Cicini joins the Dolphins after 23 years of service in the Miami division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. His background includes work with the Joint Terrorism Task Force and most recently the Special Events Task Force. During his decorated career, Cicini has provided crisis management training to the NFL, MLB, NBA, colleges and universities. He has also coordinated security and counterterrorism preparations for all special events in the South Florida area. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bucknell University.
