McDonald has played four NFL seasons, all with the Rams, and started 53 games.

The Miami Dolphins today announced they have signed safety T.J. McDonald as an unrestricted free agent from the Los Angeles Rams.

McDonald has played four NFL seasons, all with the Rams, and started 53 games. He has career totals of 281 tackles (216 solo), five sacks, four interceptions, 17 passes defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. McDonald all 16 games in 2016 and posted 62 tackles (49 solo), one sack, two interceptions and six passes defensed. His two interceptions were a career high and his six passes defensed matched a career high. McDonald originally entered the NFL as a third-round pick (71st overall) by the Rams in the 2013 NFL draft.
