PRESS RELEASE: Dolphins Sign Misi To Contract Extension

Fourth-year linebacker signs extension through the 2017 season.

The Miami Dolphins have extended linebacker Koa Misi’s contract through the 2017 season.

The 6-3, 254-pound Misi enters his fourth season in the NFL, all with the Miami Dolphins. In his career, Misi has played in 42 career games, with 35 starts. He has notched 132 tackles (99 solo) and 9.0 sacks in his career. Misi was a second-round draft choice (40th overall) by Miami in the 2010 NFL Draft.

Misi was a three-year letterman (2007-09) and starter at Utah where he recorded 206 tackles (94 solo) with 10.5 sacks and 26.0 stops for losses. Born January 17, 1987, in Santa Rosa, California attended Montgomery High School where he was an Honor Roll student and lettered in football and basketball.
