Jorge Naranjo, a highly-respected executive with over 20 years of experience in entertainment, sports and marketing, has joined Sun Life Stadium as Senior Director of Events and Sales. In his new role, Naranjo will report to Senior Vice President, Todd Boyan, and will be responsible for producing festivals, concerts, trade shows and other special events at Sun Life Stadium.
“Jorge Naranjo is one of the most influential executives in his field and we are excited that he has joined the organization,” said Boyan. “His contacts, experience and expertise will serve us well in broadening our events at Sun Life Stadium to a diverse audience.”
Throughout his 20 plus year career, Naranjo, has been involved in every facet in the production of events (music and sports) and has developed successful marketing campaigns for several fortune 500 companies. Naranjo worked with Cardenas/Fernandez and Associates from 1991-2003. While at Cardenas, he produced United States and World tours for international artists such as Carlos Vives, Vicente Fernandez, Alejandro Sanz, Mana, Daddy Yankee, Caifanes, Juan Gabriel, Fonseca, Chayanne, Ricardo Arjona, Cristian Castro and Juanes. He also produced International Club and National Team Soccer matches with teams from Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil and Europe. Naranjo also has produced several international music festivals.
In 2003, Naranjo co-founded Cardenas Marketing Network and led the company to become the leader in US Hispanic Event and Sports Marketing. In 2008, Naranjo sold his stake in the company to his partner and went on to become the manager of Multi-Grammy artists Ricardo Arjona and Cristian Castro. Naranjo is also the Executive Director of Maestro Cares Foundation, Marc Anthony's foundation that is focused on building orphanages throughout Latin America.
Naranjo, married 24 years to his high School sweetheart Nancy, has two children, Erika Mariah and George Michael.
