Name: Wayne Moore
Career: The San Francisco 49ers attempted to sneak Moore through waivers by using the first name Solomon and identifying him as a defensive tackle, but Dolphins offensive line coach Monte Clark (a 49er in 1969) recognized the name and the Dolphins signed him in 1970. Moore went on to play 98 games for Miami where he was a starter in Super Bowl VII, and a Pro Bowl selection in 1973. "I have a job to do, and if we are going to win, I have to do it well," said a modest Moore, who did not play college football. |
