Biography

Anthony has a varied football background as he totaled 93 catches for 1,273 yards and 12 touchdowns in two seasons (2007-08) with the Dallas Desperados of the Arena Football League. He has spent the 2006 season with the Odessa Roughnecks of the Intense Football League, finishing third on the team with 55 catches for 760 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Started Anthony Armstrong’s Lucky 13 Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide support through educational programs to disadvantaged youth from single parent households. In addition, L13 focuses on enhancing the lives of children and adults diagnosed with Down Syndrome… In 2011, helped the Washington Redskins host a Play 60 youth flag football clinic… Participated in the Kidney Walk, a community fundraiser that calls attention to the prevention of kidney disease and the need for organ donation… Helped in changing the lives of children in foster care by being a part of Wednesday’s Child… During the 2010 season, participated in Pro vs. GI Joe, Live Positively Flag Football Game, Harvest Feast and 4th & Life High School Football Forum… Very active in the Redskins Charitable Foundation during the 2009 season, playing video games with U.S. troops stationed overseas in Pro vs. GI Joe; handing out Thanksgiving food and turkeys as part of Harvest Feast; and taking local underprivileged youth on a Christmas shopping spree for Holiday Wishes Come True… Attended Newman Smith High School in Carrollton, Texas where he posted 11 receptions for 250 yards and three touchdowns as a senior… Lettered two times for Newman Smith’s track and field team while competing in the 100-meter dash… Graduated with a degree in marketing.
