Game 17: Miami 14 Washington 7 (Super Bowl)
In a game that featured "Garo's Gaffe," only three scores, and a monster game from Manny Fernandez, the Dolphins take down Washington and claim their first Super Bowl title. Josh Lewin travels back in time to the LA Coliseum recalling all the key plays (and the Great Alligator Caper, explained in full by Fernandez.) Other guests include Larry Csonka, Mercury Morris, Bob Griese and Paul Warfield.
Game 16: Miami 21 @Pittsburgh 16 (AFC Championship)
Larry Seiple's daring fake punt is the catalyst as the Dolphins rally in Pittsburgh. A key QB change at halftime, Larry Little outdueling Mean Joe Greene and Jake Scott's takedown of Terry Bradshaw are other key elements, all recalled by Josh Lewin and special guests Howard Kindig, Eddie Jenkins, Paul Warfield and more. On to the Super Bowl!
Game 15: Miami 20 Cleveland 14 (playoffs)
Northern Ohio natives abound in the first-round matchup vs Cleveland; Paul Warfield and Don Shula among them. The coach and the star WR both end the day happy as the Dolphins rally past the Browns at the Orange Bowl. From the critical blocked punt to Jim Kiick's winning score, the game is recalled by Josh Lewin with help from Warfield, Charlie Babb, Doug Swift and many more.
Game 14: Miami 16 Baltimore 0
A second shutout of the rival Colts means a perfect 14-0 regular season finish. The interior of the Dolphins offensive line is discussed in detail, and the controversy begins: Who should quarterback the team in the playoffs, Bob Griese or Earl Morral? Josh Lewin is joined by Greise, Doug Crusan, Paul Warfield and others, recalling the late December excitement.
Game 13: Miami 23 @NY Giants 13
A trip to Yankee Stadium reveals the team's character in a hard-fought 10-point win in the mud. Paul Warfield's contributions are explored, as are Dick Anderson's; two Pro Bowl players who went on to do big things off the football field. Special guests include Warfield and Anderson themselves, as well as Doug Crusan, Larry Ball, Larry Little and Manny Fernandez.
Game 12: Miami 37 @New England 21
No "trap game" here; Don Shula has the fellas fired up to knock off New England, and they do so with relative ease on the road. Josh Lewin is joined by Manny Fernandez, Larry Csonka and other players from the '72 team, as the game is recapped and the kudos continues for Coach Don Shula and his staff.
Game 11: Miami 31 St. Louis 10
The Monday Night lights shine on the undefeated Dolphins. The controversial Howard Cosell blows into town and the Dolphins blow out St. Louis. Otto Stowe recalls his best game as an NFL player; others, like Paul Warfield recall Otto Stowe. Josh Lewin also has some of the guests talk about what made Jake Scott and Dick Anderson the best safety tandem of the decade.
