Dolphins Place Armstead on the Reserve/Retired List

The Miami Dolphins announced today that they have placed tackle Terron Armstead on the reserve/retired list.

Armstead appeared in 135 career games with 131 starts at left tackle in 12 seasons with New Orleans (2013-2021) and Miami (2022-24), in addition to starting in 11 postseason contests. He started in 38 regular-season games and two playoff games with the Dolphins.

Armstead finished his NFL career as a five-time Pro Bowl selection (2018-20, 2022-23). He earned PFWA All-AFC honors in 2022 and a second-team All-Pro nod in 2018. He was also featured on three NFL Network Top 100 lists, ranking 67th in 2024, 83rd in 2023 and 79th in 2021.

A leader on and off the field, Armstead earned seven-career captaincies – four with New Orleans (2018-2021) and three with Miami (2022-24). He was also New Orleans' recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award in 2020 and a 2019 Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee. Most recently, Armstead was named the winner of the 2024 Nat Moore Community Service Award, which is given annually to the Miami Dolphins player recognized for his exemplary commitment to serving the South Florida community.

Armstead entered the NFL as a third-round selection (75th overall) by New Orleans in the 2013 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Arkansas-Pine Bluff, where he was a four-year starter (2009-12) and earned All-American honors (2012) and three first-team All-SWAC selections (2010-12).
