Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh was among five Dolphins players who did not practice Thursday, based on the first injury report of the week.
Suh sat out practice with a knee injury he sustained in the game against Oakland on the play where he sacked Derek Carr and forced a fumble.
Also sitting out practice Thursday were safety Michael Thomas (knee) and tackle Ja'Wuan James (hamstring), along with running back Damien Williams and wide receiver Jakeem Grant, who both had an illness.
QB Jay Cutler (ribs) and G Ted Larsen (biceps) both were listed as full participants, while LB Mike Hull (shoulder/ankle) and CB Bobby McCain (hamstring) both were limited.
Carolina's injury report included 10 players, including two who did not practice: DE Charles Johnson (rest) and C Ryan Kalil (neck).
S Mike Adams (concussion), QB Cam Newton (right shoulder), TE Chris Manhertz (concussion), WR Curtis Samuel (ankle) and T John Theus (concussion) all were limited; K Graham Gano (knee), RB Jonathan Stewart (toe) and G Trai Turner (knee) all were listed as full participants.
