The 2026 season marks his first as an NFL coach after spending six seasons in the collegiate coaching ranks.
Conrad most recently spent two seasons (2024-25) at Kent State serving as the tight ends coach in 2024 and special teams coordinator/tight ends coach in 2025.
In 2025, he mentored MAC Special Teams Player of the Year Da'Realyst Clark, who tallied 16 kickoff returns for 452 yards (28.3 avg.) and two kickoff return touchdowns. Clark's two touchdowns tied for first in the nation and his 28.3 yards per return average ranked 10th, earning him first-team All-MAC honors. Conrad also coached kicker Will Hryszko, who converted all of his 31 extra point attempts. In 2024, he led a tight end unit that averaged 12.4 yards per reception that season.
Prior to his time with the Golden Flashes, Conrad spent one season (2023) at Eastern Kentucky as the tight ends coach/co-special teams coordinator. He was part of a staff that helped the team rank eighth in total offense in the FCS.
Conrad began his coaching career at his alma mater, Kentucky, spending three seasons (2020-22) as a graduate assistant. He worked primarily with tight ends and the special teams unit and was promoted to offensive quality control coach in the spring of 2023.
During his time with the Wildcats, Conrad helped develop tight end Jordan Dingle, who earned Freshman All-America honorable mention and SEC All-Freshman honors in 2022. Dingle recorded 20 receptions for 220 yards (11.0 avg.) and three touchdowns that year.
Before entering the coaching ranks, Conrad signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Giants following a standout career at the University of Kentucky (2015-18), where he played tight end. He totaled 80 receptions for 1,015 yards (12.7 avg.) and 12 touchdowns as a Wildcat. His 12 scores were the second most by a tight end in program history. Conrad earned third-team All-SEC honors as a junior and won the 2018 Pop Warner National College Football Award, which recognizes a college graduating senior who made a difference on the field, in the classroom and in his community, and serves as a role model to Pop Warner's young student-athletes.
A LaGrange, Ohio native, Conrad earned an undergraduate degree in communications in 2018 and a master's degree in sport leadership in 2022 from the University of Kentucky.
