Chuka Ndulue (pronounced CHOO-kuh en-DOO-loo-way) joined the Miami Dolphins as assistant defensive line coach in 2026.

The 2026 season marks Ndulue's fifth season in the NFL – three as a player and his second as a coach. He also spent eight years as a collegiate coach.
Ndulue made his NFL coaching debut with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2025 as an assistant defensive line coach. He helped the Chargers defense rank fifth in the league in both opponent total yards per game (285.2) and opponent passing yards per game (179.9).
Before making his way back to the NFL, Ndulue spent one season (2024) at Colorado State, where he served as defensive line coach.
The Rams posted a strong 2024 campaign, finishing with the third-best record in the conference. Ndulue mentored defensive linemen Gabe Kirschke, who recorded 42 tackles (12 solo) and a team high 10.0 tackles for loss, and earned All-Mountain West honorable mention honors.
Ndulue spent two seasons (2022-23) at New Mexico State where he served as defensive line coach. During his tenure, the Aggies made it to bowl games in back-to-back years.
In 2023, New Mexico State captured a 10-win season for just the second time in program history. Under Ndulue's guidance, two defensive linemen earned All-Conference USA honors with sophomore Sterling Webb (first-team) and senior Izaiah Reed (honorable mention).
In 2022, the Aggies defensive line recorded a historic performance in their victory over Bowling Green in the Quick Lane Bowl. For the first time in program history, the team shut out an opponent in the first half of a game.
Prior to his time with New Mexico State, Ndulue was the defensive line coach for three seasons at Southern Illinois (2019-21). During his tenure, the Salukis totaled 21 wins and advanced to the FCS playoffs in both 2020 and 2021.
Ndulue also spent time with the Green Bay Packers after being selected for the NFL Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship during the 2021 offseason.
In 2021, Ndulue mentored senior defensive linemen Jordan Berner and Anthony Knighton, who were both named second team All-MVFC. Knighton finished his career as the school recordholder in career sacks (25.5), tackles for loss (52.0) and games started (57), Berner finished his career ranked seventh in sacks (17.0) and fifth in fumble recoveries (five).
In 2020, Knighton led the defensive line in tackles (35) and ranked second on the team in tackles for loss (5.5).
In 2019, Ndulue's coached defensive lineman Malik Haynes who earned All-MVFC honorable mention recognition and a spot on the Dream Bowl roster.
Ndulue began his coaching career at his alma mater, Oklahoma, in 2017 as a volunteer assistant, where he helped the Sooners to a Big 12 title and a spot in the College Football Playoffs. He spent the 2018 season at Nebraska as a graduate Assistant.
Before coaching, Ndulue spent three seasons in the NFL with Denver (2015) and the Los Angeles Chargers (2016-17).
Ndulue played defensive line at Oklahoma (2010-14), where he was a three-year starter. He tallied 140 tackles, 17.0 tackles for loss, and 12.0 sacks. Ndulue earned second team All-Big 12 honors twice as he helped the Sooners to three bowl game victories and two Big 12 regular season titles.
Ndulue was born in Nigeria and moved to Dallas, Texas at age 13. He is married to his wife, Alexzandra.
