Biography
Darius Eubanks joined Miami as a special teams assistant in 2026. The 2026 season marks Eubanks' fifth season in the NFL, including four as a player and one as a coach. Eubanks also spent nine seasons coaching at the collegiate level, primarily on the defensive side of the ball.

Prior to his NFL coaching debut with Miami, Eubanks most recently served as the linebackers coach in 2025 at Georgia Tech where he oversaw the development of the group.
Eubanks coached at his alma mater, Georgia Southern, for two seasons (2023-24), serving as the secondary coach in 2023 before being promoted to linebackers/run game coordinator in 2024.
In 2024, he mentored linebacker Marques Watson-Trent, who led the Sun Belt Conference in tackles (118) and recorded 7.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and four forced fumbles, which ranked fifth nationally. Watson-Trent was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year and earned first-team All-Sun Belt honors.
Eubanks first spent time with the Miami Dolphins after being selected for the Bill Walsh Diversity Fellowship during the 2024 offseason where he primarily worked with the linebackers.
In 2023, Eubanks oversaw the secondary at Georgia Southern, highlighted by cornerback Shemar Bartholomew and defensive back TJ Smith. Bartholomew totaled 38 tackles (29 solo), 2.5 tackles for loss, one interception and 14 pass breakups, earning second-team all-conference honors.
Georgia Southern tied for 26th among all FBS schools in interceptions in 2023. Smith led the team with three interceptions for 54 yards (18.0 avg.) and earned an all-conference honorable mention.
Before returning to his alma mater, Eubanks spent one season at Liberty (2022) as the defensive backs coach.
He spent one season (2021) at Georgia State, where he coached safeties. Eubanks mentored safety Antavious Lane, who recorded five interceptions which led the conference and ranked fourth in FBS. Lane earned first-team All-Sun Belt honors.
Eubanks also spent four seasons at Samford (2018-21) – including an abbreviated 2020 season that took place in the spring of 2021 due to COVID-19 – coaching safeties (2018-19), before being promoted to defensive backs/co-special teams coordinator (2020-21).
Eubanks began his coaching career as a graduate assistant working with the defensive line at Arkansas in 2017.
As a linebacker in the NFL, Eubanks spent time with multiple teams between 2013-16, before making the transition to his coaching career. He played in nine games for Cleveland in 2013 and also spent time with Dallas and Tampa Bay. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Minnesota.
Eubanks played linebacker and defensive back at Georgia Southern (2009-12), where he was a four-year starter. He started 50 of 52 games for the Eagles and totaled 260 tackles, including 12.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions and 18 pass breakups. The Eagles reached the FCS semifinals in three straight seasons (2010-12).
A Thomson, Ga. native, Eubanks attended Thomson High School. Eubanks graduated from Georgia Southern in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in sport management. He is married to his wife, Kiana.
