Andrew Papirio (pronounced puh-peer-rio) joined the Miami Dolphins in 2022 and was named to his current role of assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2025. He previously served as a strength and conditioning staff assistant (2022-23) and as sports science coordinator/strength and conditioning assistant (2024).
Before joining the Dolphins, Papirio spent two years with Springfield College (2020-22), his alma mater, as a graduate assistant, working with the wide receivers and as a strength and conditioning coach. In addition to his duties at Springfield, Papirio spent the summer of 2020 as a strength and conditioning intern at the University of Iowa, working with the football program.
Papirio started his coaching career as an assistant coach in 2019 at Walpole High School, where he mentored the defensive backs while also spending time at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning as an assistant coach.
Prior to coaching, Papirio played three seasons (2016-18) at cornerback for Springfield College, where he earned CoSIDA Academic All-America first-team and NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honors during his senior year. During his time with the Pride, Springfield College won the 2018 New England Bowl and the 2017 NEWMAC Championship, with the latter earning Springfield an NCAA Division III Championship Tournament berth.
A Walpole, Massachusetts native, Papirio graduated from Springfield College in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in applied exercise science before earning his master's degree in strength and conditioning.
