Pregame Notes | Dolphins vs. Panthers

  • Rookie third-round pick Jerome Baker will be in the starting lineup when the Dolphins face the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium on Friday.
  • Stephone Anthony joined Kiko Alonso and Raekwon McMillan as the starting linebackers in the preseason opener against Tampa Bay.
  • The Dolphins' first two picks, Minkah Fitzpatrick and Mike Gesicki, both started against Tampa Bay.
  • Gesicki will make a second consecutive start at tight end Friday.
  • Safety Reshad Jones and defensive end Cameron Wake are expected to play Friday after sitting out the game against Tampa Bay.
  • Running back Frank Gore will be given the night off for a second consecutive game.
  • Defensive lineman Kendall Langford, who was signed Tuesday, will be in uniform for the Dolphins.
  • Albert Wilson and Jakeem Grant will start at wide receiver for the Dolphins, with both Kenny Stills and DeVante Parker not expected to play.
  • Also not expected to play against the Panthers are running back Kalen Ballage, linebacker Mike Hull, tight end MarQueis Gray, defensive end William Hayes and defensive tackle Jordan Phillips.
  • The Dolphins will wear their white jerseys with aqua pants.
