  • The Dolphins will have several changes in their starting lineup in the preseason finale against the Atlanta Falcons, as expected, and Brock Osweiler will get the start at quarterback.
  • Osweiler is expected to split time with David Fales as they continue their battle for the backup quarterback job behind Ryan Tannehill.
  • Rookie linebacker Jerome Baker is scheduled to be the only starter who will play against the Falcons.
  • He's expected to line up alongside Chase Allen and Terence Garvin at linebacker.
  • Rookie fourth-round pick Kalen Ballage is expected be in the lineup after missing the past two preseason games because of a concussion. The other rookie expected to start is undrafted free agent defensive tackle Jamiyus Pittman.
  • The list of players expected to sit out the game because of injuries includes: WR DeVante Parker (hand), S Trae Elston (shoulder), LB Mike Hull (knee), C/G Ted Larsen (leg), C Jake Brendel (calf) and DE William Hayes (hamstring).
  • The only other players officially listed as not expected to play are QB Bryce Petty, RB Frank Gore, TE MarQueis Gray, G Josh Sitton, WR Danny Amendola and DE Cameron Wake.
  • The rest of the starting lineup on offense will have Francis Owusu, Isaiah Ford and Leonte Carroo at wide receiver, A.J. Derby at tight end, and a line consisting of Zach Sterup at left tackle, Isaac Asiata at left guard, Mike Matthews at center, Roubbens Joseph at right guard and Sam Young at right tackle.
  • The starting defense, along with Pittman and the linebackers, is expected to include DE Cameron Malveaux, DT Vincent Taylor, DE Jonathan Woodard, CB Tony Lippett, CB Torry McTyer, and safeties Walt Aikens and Maurice Smith.
  • Based on the starting lineups, it's fair to assume the following players also will sit out: QB Ryan Tannehill, RB Kenyan Drake, WR Kenny Stills, TE Mike Gesicki, LT Laremy Tunsil, C Daniel Kilgore, RG Jesse Davis, RT Ja'Wuan James, DE Andre Branch, DE Charles Harris, DE Robert Quinn, DT Davon Godchaux, DT Jordan Phillips, DT Akeem Spence, LB Raekwon McMillian, LB Kiko Alonso, CB Xavien Howard, CB Bobby McCain, S Reshad Jones, S T.J. McDonald and DB Minkah Fitzpatrick.
  • The Dolphins will wear their white jerseys with aqua pants.
  • The game will be televised live in South Florida on WFOR-TV starting at 7 p.m. and NFL Network will television a replay of the game Sunday at 6 a.m.
