Top Quotes: Dolphins host the Bills at Hard Rock Stadium

The Dolphins and Bills will meet Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium for a familiar matchup between the AFC East rivals. It's the second meeting between the teams this season and Miami's fourth game in its 2025 divisional slate.

Over the last four seasons, these bitter rivals have played eight games, including playoffs, with six of those contests being decided on the final possession. Familiarity is prevalent. For the Bills, a race for their sixth-straight division title will require unseating the current leader, New England, while the Dolphins are looking for their second divisional victory this year.

A familiar foe

Head Coach Mike McDaniel on the Buffalo rematch – "It's a weird formula with division opponents relative to what ratio or weight you put on this worked well, this didn't. Generally, the only thing that you know for sure is if you do something well that they are probably are very aware of that play and will try to stop it. But you have to facilitate your team with all the tools to handle whatever the opponent tries to do, and then you have to try to anticipate what the opponent will do to put yourself in situations that you have a competitive advantage."

Outside Linebacker Bradley Chubb on Bills QB Josh Allen - "He's one of the best players in the league, one of those quarterbacks who can make something out of nothing. Just somebody we've had trouble with in the past and now it's about playing team defense and corralling him and making him make the wrong decision and us just playing together."

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on playing Buffalo - "We haven't beat Buffalo since the first year Mike (McDaniel) has been here, so we look at this as we've got to win every time we play Buffalo. That's kind of how we look at it. I don't think you can look at it any other way and for us as a team collectively this year, we've got nothing to lose. We've got to go all in with this."

Defensive Coordinator Anthony Weaver on challenges presented by Buffalo's two tight end sets – "It makes it so you can't be right from a personnel standpoint. The ability to both lineup in a 21-personnel look, two-back looks, things of that nature, and then split out into 11-personnel, it can make you not right from a personnel standpoint."

Singular focus

Center Aaron Brewer on avoiding distractions – "Like I've said before, it doesn't matter what point of the season you're in, you still got eight more games left. I'm always a glass half full mentality, so you can still end 10-7. That's just a mindset and just be focused on what we got this week and if we can do what needs to be done this week, come back and replicate it again next week and the week after that."

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on his focus this week – "I'm playing to try to help our team win every time. I think that's the objective for every quarterback that's playing, for every football player that's playing as well. The objective is how can I help my team win games, and so I would say if you're looking at it in that sense, I would say my performance needs to be better."
