MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins today announced they have signed linebacker Calvin Munson off New England's practice squad and placed linebacker Raekwon McMillan on injured reserve.
Munson has spent the entire season on New England's practice squad. He also had a lengthy stint on New England's practice squad in 2018 after spending the offseason and training camp with the N.Y. Giants. Munson played 14 games with five starts for the Giants in 2017, totaling 55 tackles (35 solo), two sacks and one forced fumble. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent with the Giants on May 12, 2017.
McMillan played in 13 games with 12 starts for the Dolphins this year, totaling 72 tackles (35 solo) and one pass defensed. In 2018, McMillan became the first Dolphins player since at least 2000 to total 100-plus tackles despite not appearing in an NFL game prior to that season. He originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick (54th overall) by Miami in the 2017 NFL draft.
