Q: Can you kind of describe the feeling in the locker room with the high of obviously getting your first win, and then losing WR Tyreek Hill to a serious injury.

"I would say first and foremost, and I know the guys been hearing me talk about it with them lately in the locker room, we been having a lot of spiritual talks, but I want to thank you my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ first and foremost. My thoughts are out to the guys that got hurt tonight. My thoughts and prayers are also with Reek (Tyreek Hill). But it's a great feeling that we feel tonight. Obviously when you win, that's in a way one of the best deodorants for what you could be going through. So I would say we're enjoying it right now, but we just got to find a way to continue to stack those wins in the win column and continue to keep that going throughout the season."

Q: Were you able to speak to WR Tyreek Hill?: "I was. And as you can see on the jumbotron – he was kind of joking. That's just his personality. So he was joking when I came up and talked to him and when a lot of the guys came up and talked to him. That's just his personality. That's just who he is. But our thoughts and our prayers are with him.

Q: Can you take us through that first touchdown to TE Darren Waller and what were your impressions of the way he played tonight?

"Yeah, I mean, he played really good. Any time you get the ball in your hands and you score twice, that shows us that you're a viable option for us or you could be a viable option for us. But that first touchdown, I mean I can't remember the last time I've thrown the ball to dang near the goal post and somebody catches it like that. So that's the kind of guy that we have in Darren Waller. "

Q: What was it about this team to gather itself after seeing WR Tyreek Hill go down and scoring a touchdown on that drive? Did you say anything to the guys after that?

"I didn't say anything to the guys. I think it was one of those where collectively we knew we needed to step up in general. Regardless of who is in, we feel as if it's the next man up. We shouldn't lack the way we play, the style of our play, shouldn't lack any of that. So that was sort of the mantra or the mindset going into that after Tyreek got hurt."

Q: There was a play where you scrambled. You took what looked like a pretty hard shot and came up smiling and scored a touchdown like three plays after that, just like you scored a touchdown three plays after WR Tyreek Hill went down. What happened on the play where you got hit?

"I slid and I got hit. That's what … (laughter)"

Q: Were you concerned?

"No, I wasn't concerned. I wasn't concerned at all. There are a lot of factors that sort of went into what happened last year, what happened years prior, that we've I would say fixed or kind of turned around with how we go about nutrition on game days, et cetera. So, yeah."
