Observations from the first of two joint practices with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

  • CB Eric Rowe and T Zach Sterup were back at practice after missing a few days last week.
  • Tackle Laremy Tunsil also practiced after sitting out the game against the Atlanta Falcons.
  • CB Jalen Davis had a nice pass breakup in a one-one coverage drill.
  • CB Jomal Wiltz had a great interception on a deep pass in a one-on-one drill.
  • WR DeVante Parker was able to get low to catch a pass in a one-on-one drill.
  • QB Ryan Fitzpatrick had completions down the middle to TE Durham Smythe and WR Isaiah Ford in a team period.
  • Rookie G Shaq Calhoun stood up former Dolphins DT Ndamukong Suh in a one-on-one pass-rushing drill, though Suh came back to win the second rep.
  • Fitzpatrick thread the needle to complete a pass to Ford down the middle in a seven-on-seven.
  • WR Preston Williams had a great inside-out move to beat a Bucs defender and catch a TD pass from QB Josh Rosen in a one-on-one drill.

  • The highlight of practice came when CB Xavien Howard cut in front of a Tampa Bay receiver in a team period to pick off a Winston pass that he would have returned for a touchdown.
