The Miami Dolphins announced today that they have waived linebacker William Bradley-King and signed quarterback Brett Gabbert.
Bradley-King spent the 2024 season on Miami's practice squad. He has appeared in four career games with Washington (2021-22), where he spent two seasons and recorded seven tackles (one solo) and a 0.5 sack. He spent part of the 2023 season on Washington's practice squad. Bradley-King entered the league as a seventh-round selection (240th overall) by Washington in the 2021 NFL Draft. He finished his collegiate career at Baylor in 2020, appearing in nine games and recording 31 tackles (20 solo), 3.5 sacks, four passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He transferred to Baylor after three seasons at Arkansas State (2017-19).
Gabbert started 53 games in six seasons (2019-24) at Miami (OH), where he completed 778-of-1,331 passing attempts (58.5 pct.) for 10,814 yards and 80 touchdowns with 30 interceptions. He finished his career ranked second all-time among RedHawks quarterbacks in touchdown passes and third in passing yards. Gabbert also recorded 294 rushing attempts for 482 yards and eight touchdowns. He was a three-time All-MAC selection (2021, 2022, 2024) and a four-time Academic All-MAC honoree (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024). He is the brother of NFL veteran quarterback Blaine Gabbert.
