Dolphins sign offensive lineman Cole Strange to active roster

The Miami Dolphins announced today they have signed offensive lineman Cole Strange to the active roster off Cleveland's practice squad and placed offensive lineman James Daniels on the injured reserve list.

Strange has appeared in 30 career games with 29 starts – 27 at left guard and two at center – in three seasons with New England (2022-24). He entered the NFL as a first-round selection (29th overall) by New England in the 2022 NFL Draft. Strange played collegiately at Chattanooga, where he appeared in 49 career games with 44 starts in five seasons (2017-20) and earned All-America honors in 2021.

Daniels has appeared in 91 career games with 85 starts – 23 at left guard, eight at center and 54 at right guard, in eight seasons with Chicago (2018-21), Pittsburgh (2022-24) and Miami (2025). He has also started two postseason games, one with Chicago (2018) and another with Pittsburgh (2023). Daniels signed with Miami on March 13, 2025, and started at right guard in Week 1 at Indianapolis. He entered the league as a second-round selection (39th overall) by Chicago in the 2018 NFL Draft. Daniels played collegiately at Iowa (2015-17), where he appeared in 37 games with 25 starts in three seasons with the Hawkeyes.
