Sunday was the breakthrough performance the Dolphins were looking for. Inside of a complementary team win, each individual unit provided inherent balance that produced a 24-point runaway win over the Falcons.
The offense paired explosive passing with a grueling ground game while the defense was dominant against the run and suffocating on third downs.
We go Inside the Numbers, presented by BDO, to look at the most notable individual metrics, milestones and more from the Dolphins win in Atlanta.
Three-headed rushing attack
The Dolphins ground game went off Sunday to the tune of a season-high rushing 141 yards. Adding the pass game production, Miami running backs De'Von Achane, Ollie Gordon II and Jaylen Wright combined for 185 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.
Achane became the fastest Miami Dolphin to reach 30 career touchdowns in franchise history reaching that milestone in just 36 games. Achane is one of nine players to record 30 touchdowns from scrimmage since he entered the NFL in 2023.
Gordon set career highs in carries (10), rushing yards (46) and receiving yards (20). He scored his first career receiving touchdown, a 20-yard pass from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
Tua tosses four scores
Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa completed 20-of-26 passes for 206 yards and four touchdowns, with a 138.6 passer rating, his best single-game passer rating since a December 2023 game against Washington.
The performance marked Tagovailoa's fifth-career game with at least four passing touchdowns, breaking a tie with Hall of Famer Bob Griese for the second-most in franchise history.
The third Tagovailoa touchdown toss went to his favorite target in 2025, Jaylen Waddle. The 43-yard catch-and-run was the 20th pass of 40-plus yards in Tagovailoa's career, and the third reception of at least 40 yards in the last four games for Waddle.
Waddle is one of only three players in the league this year to have multiple receiving touchdowns of 40-plus yards, having also scored on a 46-yard reception in Week 5 at Carolina.
Nowhere to go for Robinson
The Miami run defense had its best day of the 2025 season against the NFL's leader in yards per carry entering Sunday. Atlanta running back Bijan Robinson ran for just 25 yards on nine carries, the fourth-lowest total of his career. His 2.8 yards per carry in the game was half of his season average (5.6) entering play.
Linebacker Jordyn Brooks led the way with 10 tackles, three for a loss, and a sack. Brooks now has an NFL-leading 85 tackles on the season.
Defensive tackle Zach Sieler added a tackle for loss on a third-and-1 rush attempt from Atlanta running back Tyler Allgier, forcing the Falcons to settle for a red zone field goal.
The Falcons gained 213 yards of offense Sunday, a season-low through seven games. Against Miami's swarming defense, Atlanta converted just two of 11 third down opportunities (18.2 percent).
Milestones and Achievements
Sieler recorded a tackle in his 90th consecutive game, the longest active streak by an NFL defensive lineman and the sixth-longest streak since 1987.
Punter Jake Bailey appeared in his 100th career game. Tight end Hayden Rucci made his NFL debut while fellow tight end Greg Dulcich made his Dolphins debut.
